20 Transgender Men Share Their Eye-Opening Thoughts On Phalloplasty
Transitioning is a very personal process for the person going through it. The road to phalloplasty is a long one.

I had phalloplasty done and it was so worth it. It's a process that takes five stages and almost two years to complete but I'm so happy with the results.

The pain sucks.

I'm ftm and I had phalloplasty surgery. The recovery was the worst!

It's no walk in the park.

I really want phalloplasty, but...I mean, I'm weak. The pain would probably be worth it, especially getting rid of my period, but I just...I'm scared.

Everyone has different goals when it comes to their transition.

Transition looks different for everybody. I live in a province where phalloplasty is fully covered by my universal health insurance, and I have no plans or desire to have it done.

I think one day I might want to get phalloplasty but I have a weird fear that someone will try to rip it off if they know I'm trans.

Scars come with the territory.

I've been having really bad lower dysphoria recently. I really want to get phalloplasty but the thought of seeing my arm like that freaks me out completely. I don't know if I could handle it.
