These 19 Teens Have PTSD From The Internet. Here's What Happened To Them
The internet can be both a beautiful and dangerous place. Trolls lurk on every site waiting for an innocent victim to prey on for their own sadistic pleasure. The effects of cyber bullying are widespread as there have been cases so bad that the victim has committed suicide due to the nonstop hurtful comments. Many people urge victims to just turn off the computer or walk away, but with so much schooling and work done online, it's easier said than done. Some victims have sworn off social media and other networking apps for good in hopes of avoiding the constant bullying. However, they're finding that their bully's comments stick with them wherever they go.

The pain follows you everywhere.

When I play online games I choose a boy character so I won't get bullied. I'm afraid to go online as my own gender, it's ridiculous.

If you're not photogenic, dating apps can be a terrible experience.

I've been bullied on an online dating site for having crooked teeth. I gave up on dating sites and apps and now hope that someone walking down the street finds me beautiful.

The internet can be both a dangerous and beautiful place.

4
I switched to a public school because I was getting bullied online and I couldn't be happier. I hardly go on the internet unless I absolutely have to.

Somebody needs to put a stop to all trolls.

5
I have been relentlessly bullied online. How does some random stranger tell you to end your life? How can they physically do it? I stay off message boards because of this.

Whoah.

Bullied online almost daily. The best days of the week are the ones where I force myself not to use the internet.
